Abscessus turbatio

(Simon Deeg, 2009-07-10) A small object hanging quietly at a wall. It does not make a movement until a person gets to close and triggers a distance-sensor installed in the “Abscessus turbatio”. The Object reacts very quick and closes its metal leaves. It needs some time after it starts to open again. Because the sensor is still active, it modulates the opening phase depending on the distance measurement. The result is a fascinating interaction between the object and human beings disturbing it.
